Are these motors permanent magnet type, or are they brushed motors? Does the motor use a planetary gear system? What wattage of motor are available?
Dear Ken, The motors in our E+ propulsion systems use our own unique, proprietary design. The motors are brushless, permanent magnet and utilize a direct drive to the bicycle wheel. This eliminates the noise and vibration found in other less powerful planetary gear driven systems. Our E+ propulsion systems are available in 750 Watt, as well as 1000 Watt versions.
